Wynne “Trumpwins” Ford as Moody’s Drops Ontario Rating by Jamie Gilcig 041918

Cornwall Ontario – You get the feeling that Kathy doesn’t really know how to drive a truck, or run a province, and apparently now not campaign as she lashed out at PC leader Doug Ford recently, comparing him to Donald Trump and unleashing her own inner Hillary.

The problem is that telling the public that someone who is akin to the person that won an election isn’t very smart, all politics apart.  Especially if that election was for the largest superpower on the planet.

What’s she essentially done is Godwin herself.

Godwin’s Law essentially states from the wiki:

Godwin’s law (or Godwin’s rule of Hitler analogies)[1][2] is an Internetadage that asserts that “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1“;[2][3] that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Adolf Hitler or his deeds. Promulgated by the American attorney and author Mike Godwin in 1990,[2] Godwin’s law originally referred specifically to Usenet newsgroup discussions.[4] It is now applied to any threaded online discussion, such as Internet forumschat rooms, and comment threads, as well as to speeches, articles, and other rhetoric[5][6] where reductio ad Hitlerum occurs.

That the Premier went full Trump on Ford after Moody’s dropped their prediction for Ontario after she released her election budget, from stable to…off a cliff and her poll numbers have her in death, but nobody would want her organs territory is terribly weak sauce.

Meanwhile Ford is powering his way across Ontario in his big blue bus to very strong crowds.

Here in Cornwall the room was full, and while there were the usual hypocrites like MPP Jim McDonell who picked the wrong horse in two leadership runs, and MP Guy Lauzon who never misses cameras, and also supported Christine Elliott,  the crowd didn’t need any prompting and was totally captivated by Ford’s star power.

And that drives people like Kathleen Wynne and Andrea Horwath nuts, because Ford does have star power and that counts in an election.

Best line in the Cornwall meeting was btw, an area hotel owner asking long time Conservative Mayor Leslie O’Shaughnessy who appears to have sold his soul to area labour, if he was still a Conservative.    BAM!  The dim mayor failed to have a comeback for that and quickly ushered the hotelier behind closed doors.

Right now the question is shifting from whether Mr. Ford gets a majority government to how big a majority and does Kathy finish second as Labour seems to be bailing on her as the odds of her being able to mount a serious victory burn up faster than hydro one meters spin.

What do you think dear CFN viewers?  Have you been to any Ford events?  Who will you be voting for and in the end of the day will we be better off after this election either way?

  1. Voting BLUE! I paid $100 to fill up my Honda Odyssey the other day! Wynn can take a hike!
When was the last time this province was in good shape? Mike Harris said he would cut and cut and get the province out of debt. He did that and the province was in good shape. Enter McGuinty and the Liberals and the shit show that followed!

  2. It’s not the first time and won’t be the last time that Wynne and her cronies lie about something.

  3. This have not province (since 2009) has watched the Liberals double spending and increase debt from 138 billion to 311 billion. At this point even the Rhinoceros Party could not likely do worse. The crushing debt will be felt for generations. When the Conservatives fail to work miracles the Liberals will return and history will repeat. Alberta is a nice place.
